The Rules

I. Governance
A. The MLBL is governed by a single authority, the commissioner, Todd Yeager. The Commissioner has ultimate authority in all areas; including the veto or change of any rule appearing in this Constitution (which has never happened... but the rule is here as a safeguard to protect from an endless argument over the exact letter of the law).

B. The vice-commissioner of the MLBL is Nick Paredes. He becomes acting commissioner in the event of incapacitation or abdication of the commissioner.

C. An executive committee of three (3) owners will be used as an *advisory* panel to interpret these rules and handle disputes. The current vice-commissioner and two team-owners (Chris Burt and John Green make up the three seats on this panel).

II. Object
A. To assemble a lineup of 24 or 25 baseball players whose cumulative statistics during the regular, National League baseball season, compiled and measured by the methods described in this constitution, exceed those of all other teams in the league.

III. Teams
A. There are 14 teams in the MLBL.

B. Each team shall have a name that is reasonably tasteful. A team may change its name with two exceptions; A team may not change its name during the actual MLBL season and a team may not change its name if it has won a MLBL championship. All team name changes require prior league approval.

C. A team is nontransferable without prior league approval.

D. A team may have two (2) equal partners, provided it is declared as such before the actual MLBL season has started. If a partnership exists, each owner will have the full right of roster moves and trades without consent of the other partner. The MLBL does not recognize unequal partnerships or three (3) or more person arrangements; although it is legal for them to exist.

E. In the event an owner leaves the MLBL, the MLBL shall replace the owner. The new owner will inherit the entire roster of the departed owner. If the league is unable to replace an owner during the season, the league will run the team using the 'z' contract system (see VII, G). If a replacement owner cannot be found before the draft, the MLBL will disband the team and play with fewer than 14 teams.

F. If an owner is unable manage their team due to personal emergency, that owner may designate a surrogate to make transactions on their behalf.

G. If, in the opinion of the Commissioner, an owner has abounded their team... the owner may be replaced without refund.

IV. Roster
A. Each teams active roster consists of the
following 24 players:
5 outfielders (OF)
2 catchers (C)
1 first baseman (1B)
1 second baseman (2B)
1 third baseman (3B)
1 shortstop (SS)
1 corner man (CM) [1B or 3B]
1 middle man (MM) [2B or SS]
1 utility hitter (UH)
4 starting pitchers (SP)
4 relief pitchers (RP)
2 utility pitchers (UP) [SP or RP]

B. In addition to the 24 players required above, a team, if it so chooses to do so, may carry a twenty-fifth (25th) player in the 'extra utility spot' (XU). This player may be either a hitter or a pitcher. In order for a team to carry an extra utility spot, the team must fill this position during the actual MLBL draft (not the farm portion). Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of this extra utility spot until the September 1 roster expansion (as explained later in this constitution). Once a team has established the extra utility spot, it may change its roster from 25 to 24 players or switch from a hitter to a pitcher (or vice-versa) as it so chooses and the rules allow.

V. Position Eligibility
A. A hitter may be assigned to any position in which he appeared in 20 or more games at in the previous season. If a hitter appeared in 19 or fewer games at a single position in the previous season, he may be drafted and assigned to the position(s) in which he appeared most frequently. Once the current season begins, a hitter may be assigned to any position in which he appears in at least one (1) game.

B. Any games played at the designated hitter (DH) position are disregarded for position eligibility. If
the DH was the only position the player has EVER appeared at, that player shall become a 1B as defined
in this constitution.

C. A pitcher may be assigned to any pitching position in which he appeared in 10 or more games the previous season. If the pitcher did not appear in 10 or more games at any one position, he may be drafted only at the position(s) in which he appeared most frequently. Once the season begins, a pitcher may be assigned to any position in which he appears in three (3) or more times.
D. An owner must produce an exact date, or dates, in which his player appeared at a "new" position if there is an eligibility question.

E. If a player failed to play in major league baseball during the previous season, his last major
league season will be used.

F. If a player has never played major league baseball, or only pinch-hit or pinch-ran in the majors, he shall be eligible only at an appropriate utility position. General consensus will be used to determine if a minor league player is a hitter (eligible at UH) or a pitcher (eligible at UP).

G. The official source for determining a players pre-draft eligibility is the CBS Sportsline website.

VI. Draft Day Auction
A. A major league player auction will be conducted on the weekend immediately prior to opening day of the Major League Baseball season (April 3, 2010). Each team must acquire at least 24 players (see IV, B for how to legally obtain a 25th player on draft day). The total for these players is not to exceed 275 "fantasy" dollars. A team need not spend all 275 dollars.

B. The bidding order at the draft shall be; The previous season winner shall nominate the first
player, the second place finisher shall nominate second. This pattern shall continue until the 14th place finisher from the previous season nominates the 14th player. This order of nomination shall continue until the bidding portion of the draft is completed and all rosters are full. The order of nomination is also the order of seating (clockwise from first to fourteenth) at the auction.

C. When it is an owners turn to nominate a player, that owner must nominate a player who can
legally fit onto his roster. Each owner shall have a maximum of one minute to make a nomination. The bidding shall proceed clockwise with each owner who can legally bid (has an open spot and enough money) either increasing the bid on that player or passing (passing eliminates that owner from future bids on that same player). Each owner shall have a maximum of one minute to decide whether to bid or pass. Only increments of full fantasy dollars shall be used. The owner making the final bid shall receive the player (except in cases where topping rights are exercised).

D. In cases in which an owner has a topper (topping rights) to a player, that owner must declare his topper right immediately after that player is nominated in the draft. If he fails to declare his topping right, that right is forfeited. Once an owner declares that he has topping rights on a player, that owner is prohibited from taking place in the bidding for that player. Once that player's bidding is completed, the owner possessing the topping rights to that player must decide whether to use his topping rights (that is, increase by one dollar the final bid on that player and thus obtaining that player) or passing (giving that player to the last legal bidder). This decision must be made within two (2) minutes. An owner may nominate a player he has a topper on, and retain his topping right, provided he declare the right immediately after he makes the opening bid. The opening bid must be zero dollars. If all owners were to pass in this situation, the owner who holds the topper would have to take that player at a price of $1 (he would have to top his own $0 bid).

E. Each owner has a total of three (3) time outs. These time outs consist of two minutes each. These may be used at any time during the draft to extend the legal amount of time an owner has to make a decision. If a time out is called, the two minutes will be added to that time remaining for the owner to make his decision. Time outs may be called consecutively. There will be no time outs during the farm draft.

F. Owners will be cautioned when they are 15 seconds from a time violation. "Time" will be called with one-second remaining declaring it is time to make a decision (whether it be a bid, a pass or a time out). If a decision is not made within that final second, that owner shall have been considered to have passed.

G. If an owner passes (be it by choice or because of a time violation) when it is his turn to nominate, that owner will be skipped and the next owner in the auction order will be called on to nominate a player. The skipped owner is then not allowed to bid on the player nominated by that next owner. After that player is auctioned, the skipped owner is then called again to nominate. If he nominates a player, the order will return to its normal cycle (with the next nomination going to the owner two seats to the right of the skipped owner). If the skipped owner again fails to nominate a player, this process is repeated with the owner two seats to the right of the skipped player nominating the next player. This process may be extended until the skipped owner eventually nominates a player.

H. After the auction draft there will be a break of 5 minutes. After this 5 minute break, the minor league, or "farm," draft will take place.

I. The farm draft will consist of six (6)
rounds. The drafting order will be based on the
previous years standings using the following formula:
5th place will receive the 1st pick
6th place will receive the 2nd pick
7th place will receive the 3rd pick
8th place will receive the 4th pick
9th place will receive the 5th pick
10th place will receive the 6th pick
11th place will receive the 7th pick
12th place will receive the 8th pick
13th place will receive the 9th pick
14th place will receive the 10th pick
4th place will receive the 11th pick
3rd place will receive the 12th pick
2nd place will receive the 13th pick
1st place will receive the 14th pick

This formula is used for each of the six (6) rounds.

J. In addition to the six (6) automatic picks explained above, a team may receive a bonus pick(s) in the farm draft as compensation for player(s) lost to the American League (which we do not use in the MLBL) by way of trade during the previous Major League season. To be eligible for a compensation pick, a player must be on a MLBL active roster or disabled list (DL), and the player's owner must put in a claim before the season ends. The formula for these picks are as follows:

A $1--$4 player will receive the last pick in the 6th round
A $5--$9 player will receive the last pick in the 5th round
A $10--$14 player will receive the last pick in the 4th round
A $15--$24 player will receive the last pick in the 3rd round
A $25--$39 player will receive the last pick in the 2nd round
A $40+ player will receive the last pick in the 1st round

K. Any player with a non-draft salary (B or C, but not a Z player) will be counted as a $1 player for the purposes of this rule. These bonus picks shall occur at the end of the rounds, with ties being broken using the above method (rule VI-i).

L. There is a one (1) minute time limit, with no time-outs, in the farm draft. An owner in violation of this rule will be skipped using the same process as described in rule VI, article G.

M. A players salary, who is selected in the farm draft, is determined by where they are playing on opening day. If they are on a MLB active 25-man National League team roster or disabled list, they will receive a $10 contract. If they are anywhere else, except in the American League, they will receive a $5 contract.

N. A team may select an American League player (or a player on an American League minor league team). This player will be given a contract of $50X.

O. There shall be absolutely no kibitzing during any part of auction draft day, including breaks. Books, notes or ideas may not be shared amongst anyone. Suggestions, observations, or any form of thought pertaining to the draft may not be shared andmust be kept to ones self.

P. An owner may ask about the amount of money a team has left or the status of a roster.

Q. All rosters must be made legal within 3 days of the draft (that is, non-active players must be replaced).

VII. Player Salaries and Contracts
A. The salary of a player is determined by the time and means of his acquisition and is not changed unless that player is signed to a long-term contract or fits under the guidelines for a waived 5B or 5E player as stated in rule VII, section E.

B. A player called up from the free agent pool shall have a contract of $10.

C. A player coming over from the American League (major or minor leagues) during the course of the season shall have a $25X contract. A two (2) day grace period shall be observed in these cases. After these two days, the owner lowest in the standings (who does not already have a 25X player) shall be given the first opportunity to claim the player. The process is continued in a last to first order with any owner who has already claimed a 25X player being moved to the end of the list. If there is a tie in the standings, the previous day's standings will be used. During the first week of the season, last season's standings will be used. If a player goes unclaimed during this period he becomes a regular free agent (10c).

D. The terms, eligibilities and restrictions of contract are as follows (applies only after season has started):
A 2 years + option, topping at completion.
B 3 years, topping anytime cut (farm bonus option for $5).
C 3 years, topping at completion.
D 1 year + option, topping at completion.
E 2 years, topping anytime cut (farm bonus option for $5).
F 2 years, topping at completion.
T Topping.
CC 4years, topping at completion.
X 2 years, topping anytime cut, no trade.
XX Last year, topping, no trade.
Z No rights, may be claimed off roster.

E. The farm bonus is available to owners who have a qualifying player (5B, 5E) and a first round draft pick. By forfeiting that draft pick (the lowest one if they have more than one) the qualifying player is carried over and automatically begins the season on that teams farm system. This option may be used only once per season, per team. In addition, any time a player with a 5B or 5E, or 5T' contract is placed on waivers, his contract will be increased to $10. If he is unclaimed, his salary will return to $5.

F. All contracts, with the exception of Z's, become toppers at expiration.

G. Players who have a Z contract are players who were assigned to a team by the league because that team failed to maintain a legal roster. The eligible player who has the most at bats or most innings pitched, with no consideration to that players ability, will be assigned to a team who fails to maintain a legal lineup. In addition, a Z player may be claimed off any roster as a free agent (10C) by any owner during the season without compensation.

H. A no trade contract may never be traded. This includes its topping right form.

I. A player in their option year (D contract), may be (1) not kept without compensation, (2) allowed to play final year at assigned salary with owner receiving topper at the end of the season, or (3) signed to a long-term contract. The players salary in each year covered by the new contract (which commences with the option year) shall be the sum of his current salary plus $5 for each additional year beyond the option year.

VIII. Standings
A. The following criteria is used to determine team performance:
Total Home Runs (HR)
Total Runs Batted In (RBI)
Total Runs Scored (RS)
Total Stolen Bases (SB)
Total Batting Average (BA)
Composite Earned Run Average (ERA)
Composite Ratio: (BB+Hits)/IP (Rat)
Total Wins (W)
Total Saves (S)
Total Strikeouts (K)

Teams are ranked from first to last in each category. First place receives 14 points, last place receives one (1) point. After points are given for each category, total points for each team are added up and the team with the most points wins.

B. If a team fails to pitch 1250 innings during the course of the season, one (1) earned run and two (2) men on base will be added to that team's total for each inning it was short. Innings shall always be rounded down to the nearest full inning.

C. Pitchers offensive stats and offensive players pitching stats are not counted. Also, a player must be a hitter or a pitcher. If there is ambiguity as to eligibility, the Commissioner shall decide the issue.

D. All ties in the final standings are ties. For the purpose of deciding draft order and other such league matters which rely on the final standings, the team with the most at bats plus innings pitched will be placed ahead of the tied teams. A coin flip will decide if there is still a tie after adding the teams at bats plus innings pitched. This system is also used to determine who would receive first place honors in case of a dual champion. But a tie is officially a tie.

IX. Stats
A. CBS Sportsline is the official database for the computation of standings.

B. The effective time of any transaction for the purpose of statistical calculation is at 11:59:59p.m. PST.

C. All moves must be E-mailed to the stat keeper and Commissioner (or the Vice-Commissioner, if the Commissioner is also keeping stats). This is to protect against Email problems.

D. A move may also be made by phone, or in person to the stat keeper or Commissioner or
Vice-Commissioner. This is allowed ONLY if there are computer issues.

E. The only official stats shall be the final stats.

F. Owners shall report any known mistakes in the stats immediately.

G. The Commissioner will decide the proper way to correct ANY error that has not been reported within 7 days of occurring. Errors reported within 7 days will automatically be corrected by 'backdating' transactions.

H. The stat/keeper shall report any personal moves to the Commissioner. The Commissioner shall report any personal moves to the stat/keeper. If the Commissioner has both roles, he will report moves to the Vice-Commissioner.

I. A daily "moves of" E-mail will be sent out informing all owners of the days transactions.

J. The stat/keeper and/or Commissioner may assign their roles to others as needed.

K. Only the stat/keeper may make changes to the stats or rosters on CBS Sportsline unless rule J is in effect.

L. It is the duty of ALL owners to monitor ALL stats and rosters. Failure to do so in a timely manner (7 days) results in the forfeiture of your right to complain/have input about the resolution of any error.

X. Fees
A. The commissioner shall appoint a treasurer to collect, manage and pay out funds at his discretion.

B. There is a one time fee of $150 due every February 15. All other dollar amounts mentioned are fictitious.

C. If an owner fails to pay their entry fee by February 15, control of their team shall be immediately suspended. Under NO circumstances may a team make *any* sort of roster move after 2/15 if payment has not been made. If an owner is suspended on the 'keeper list' due date, their team will be disbanded. Also, the MLBL may replace a suspended owner without warning.

D. Side bets are allowed, but money or favor may not be part of any transaction in the MLBL.

XI. Prize Fund
A. All entrance fees will be put into a league fund. All league expenses will be paid from this fund. The remainder shall be divided amongst the first four teams in the final standings as follows:
first place.................50%
second place...........25%
third place................15%
fourth place..............10%

B. If a new owner finishes in the top 4 during their first season in the league, the cost of their second year entrance fee shall automatically be deducted from their winnings. This rule stands even if the new owner decides not to return for a second season.

XII. Transactions
A. A player on an active rotis roster must be replaced if he is:
1. Placed on the disabled list
2. Sent down to the minors
3. Traded or sold outside the National League
4. Is suspended for *more* than 15 days
5. In any other way removed from an active NL roster

B. Failure to replace an inactive player within three (3) full days will result in the league choosing a player under rule VII, section G (the 'Z' contract).

C. In cases in which no qualifying player is available, rule B shall be waived. A team may not be forced to call up a player from their farm team. If this rule is applied, it remains in effect for the specific player at hand, even if a qualifying player should happen to later appear. However, the wavier shall be applied case by case.

D. Players suspended for less than 16 days must be cut in order to be replaced.

E. A rotis roster may be changed voluntarily by the following means:
1. Through a rotis trade (XVII)
2. By cutting a player (XVIII)
3. By expanding your roster in September (XIX)

F. A salary cap of $325 must be maintained from the point immediately after the draft until Sept. 1. For the purposes of this rule, B and C contract players shall count as $1 and all X and Z players shall count as $10. This rule applies only to the active roster.

G. If a team illegally exceeds the $325 cap, they will receive a 24 hour warning notice. If they fail
to make their roster legal within those 24 hours, the most expensive player on their roster shall be
automatically cut. The cut will be a 'reserve' cut if possible, regular cut if not. Any player going
through waivers due to this process will be designated as 'untradeable' for the remainder of the current season.

XIII. The Disabled List
A. A player put on the Major League disabled list is put on his rotis team's disabled list when he is replaced. The replacement may come from the free agent pool, the reserve squad, a trade or a 25x claim.

B. So long as the injured player returns to his Major League team within 59 days of being placed on the disabled list, he is automatically returned to his active rotis roster, and the replacement player is automatically returned to the place he was called up from. If a player is disabled more than 59 days, then the rotis owner may choose to either keep the called up player on his active roster (with the former disabled player going to the reserve list, or being released if he is a 10c player) or activate the player returning from the DL (thus returning the replacement player). This decision must be made within one (1) day. If it is not made within the day the injured player is automatically returned to the active roster.

C. A called up player may be traded or cut (by using a cut) provided the roster is made legal. However, a DL callup may not otherwise be transferred from the injured player he was originally called up for. If the DL callup, and the DL player are traded together... their connection to each other shall remain intact.

D. A free agent callup (C contract) may never go on the reserve squad. If a C contract player without a permanent spot is put on the DL he is to be released (without penalty). A 'C' contact player with a permanent roster spot may be place on the DL. Rule XIII, B does not apply to C contract players.

E. A player due to be released because of a returning injured player is the sole property of the rotis owner currently holding his contract. This owner may take any legal action necessary to retain that player (cut, trade, etc) and has first claim to the player when he is released (to use for another injured player, etc...). If that owner does not retain the player in some way within one day, than normal free agent rules are used per rule XVIII B (without any X contract restrictions) apply.

F. A player sent to the minor leagues on a rehabilitation assignment will maintain their "DL" status, and not be considered "sent down." Baseball news sources will be used to determine the status players have, with the Commissioner resolving any disputes.

XIV. The Minor Leagues (Real)
A. A player sent down to the minor leagues is automatically placed on a teams reserve list once he is replaced provided rule XIII, section D is satisfied.

B. Once a minor leaguer is placed on the reserve squad he may return only if he is recalled to the Major Leagues and he is activated by his rotis owner. (Unless, he is put in the XU spot, which can be occupied by any non-AL player) This activation must come in the way of a "move." A player in this situation is not entitled to a roster spot otherwise.

XV. Trades in Baseball (Real)
A. A players contract is voided after he is traded to an American League team (majors or minors). The exception to this is if the player is essentially part of a three-way trade, in which he is quickly returned to the NL. For compensation rulings on players lost to the AL, see Rule VI, section J.

B. A player that is sold will be considered the same as a traded player. A player that is released, and then signed by an American League team is lost without compensation.

XVI. Suspension
A. A suspended player may not be replaced until he has been on the suspension list for a minimum of 16 days. At that time, he must be replaced.

B. A suspended player may not be replaced in any way other than trade or cut during the first 16 days of the suspension.

C. If a suspended player is cut or released by his Major League team, all suspension restrictions are removed.

XVII. Rotis Trading
A. Trading is allowed during the following times only:
The day pitchers and catchers report to spring training until... The day before final rosters are due. Then from... Opening day, until... August 1. Then from... First pitch of National League play-offs until... Final out of the World Series.

B. From August 1 to August 31, trades between the teams immediately above and below each other in the standings (ties included) will be allowed. The most recent stats will be used for the purposes of this rule. There will be no trades after September 1st.

C. A trade that causes an illegal roster is allowed. The illegal roster, however, must be made legal by the end of the day or applicable league rules regarding illegal rosters may be enforced.

D. Any known injury, suspension, or trade (as in a trade in real baseball that just happened) must be disclosed before a rotis trade is made. Any failure to voluntarily give this information before trading an effected player shall render the rotis trade null and void. Any other information, such as playing time, need not be given.

E. All terms of a trade are to be announced at the time of the trade. Absolutely no cash, favors, future considerations, or players to be named later are allowed. Violation of this rule shall be considered a form of collusion... or *cheating* (see rule "i" below).

F. A trade becomes official when it is called in by both teams, (within two {2} days of each other) and it is approved by the commissioner.

G. A trade will not be approved if there is any dispute among the trading owners over any information (salaries, contract status, etc...) or if rule XVII, sections C, D, or E were broken. In addition, a trade may be voided if, in the opinion of the commissioner and/or the executive committee, it upsets the balance and integrity of the game.

H. If contract status (or position eligibility) is found to have been incorrectly exchanged after a deal is made, the deal will stand as is if both owners confirmed the trade with the incorrect data. It is up to *both* teams to independently check the contract status of the players they are acquiring. If an error was caused by incorrect data on the league website, the Commissioner will use his discretion in addressing any issues that arise.

I. Any owners guilty of collusion shall be expelled from the league without refund.

XVIII. Cutting/Claiming a Player
A. Each team shall receive four (4) cuts, plus one (1) bonus cut the day rosters are handed in, and an additional three (3) cuts on Sept. 1.

B. Cuts remaining on Sept 1 automatically become 'bonus' cuts. There is no waiver system after this date.

C. A non-bonus cut is used to remove a player from an active roster. Once a player is cut he is placed through waivers. His name will be placed in the 'Moves of' email with asterisks next to it. At that time he may be claimed by any owner in the league using the process explained in rule VII, section C (minus the X stipulation). To claim a player, a team must send its lowest reserve draft pick as compensation to the team the claimed player is coming from. It also must not cut this player for two (2) weeks unless he uses his bonus cut to reserve this player. If the new owner should want to cut this player within two weeks, and not use his bonus cut, hegoes back to the original team with no compensation.

D. All teams are required to turn in a list of players they wish to keep for the upcoming season to the stat keeper or commissioner by the assigned date (usually a week prior to the draft). Those players not on the keep list shall be considered cut and placed on the cut list from which a dispersal draft shall be held. Each team shall submit a list of players (if any) it wishes to have from the cut list. A team may claim as many players as can legally fit on its roster and it has draft picks for. The fifth place team from the previous season shall have the first selection in following with the draft order determined by rule VI, section i. A team may stipulate on its list a maximum number of players it wishes to obtain, or any other specific stipulation. The lowest reserve pick shall be sent from the claiming team to the team that originally cut the claimed player as compensation. If a player claims more than one player using this method, the team in which he claimed the first player will receive his second lowest pick with his lowest pick going to the team that the second player was claimed from (this process is continued if more than two players are drafted). After the dispersal draft all non-claimed players with topping rights are returned to the original teams (in the form of a topper), and all other players are unrestricted free agents.

E. The bonus cut is used to avoid rule XVIII, section C. If used, the cut player is automatically put on the reserve list, if eligible. If not eligible, the player is released into the free agentpool.

F. If a cut player is not claimed within 3 days, he is moved to his team's reserve squad (so long as rule XIII, section D is not violated).

G. A catastrophically injured player may be cut up to a day before the draft. A request, which may be denied, must be made to the commissioner. The injury must be new and totally unpredictable to be considered. The only other way to remove a player from a 'keeper list' is for them to end up in the AL. Keeper lists are totally frozen the 24 hours before a draft, and may not be changed for any reason.

H. See rule VII, section E for restrictions placed on claiming 5B, 5E, and 5T' players.

XIX. September Roster Expansion
A. On Sept. 1, a team may expand its roster up to 28 players. The additional spots on the roster shall be considered utility spots. A team may not, however, have 14 or more pitchers or 18 or more hitters. The salary cap will not apply in September.

B. A team may expand its roster any day after Sept. 1. It may also reduce its roster down, so long as it has cuts remaining and has a minimum of 24 players consisting of a legal lineup.

C. Free agents may be claimed to expand rosters. A one-time 'draft' will be used to disperse free agents for September call-ups on 9-1. Last place team gets first pick, second to last goes next... and so on. This is repeated until all teams have passed. The draft will be conducted via Email. Regular rules for claiming free agents apply after September 1.

XX. The Trophy, doughnuts and Fun Stuff
A. The defending champion shall hold possession of the official trophy. That person shall be responsible for the well being of the trophy, including payment for any damages.

B. Past champions shall receive a smaller replica trophy to keep forever.

C. The exchange date between an old champion and new will be Draft Day.

D. The last place team is required to bring 14 *choice* doughnuts to the next draft (a doughnut for each team). These 14 doughnuts should all be different, and there should be no more than the 14 doughnuts in the draft room.

E. The doughnuts will be passed around the room, starting with the first place team getting the first choice... then the second place team, and so on. Everyone must take a doughnut, and anyone saying "I don't eat doughnuts" will be beaten to death by Scott Toich, per these rules.

F. If the last place owner does not return to the MLBL... the returning owner lowest in the standing will be responsible for bring the doughnuts. However, if this is the case... the unfortunate doughnut buying owner shall be spared from ridicule.

G. No one with the first name of "Brooks" shall be allowed to play in the MLBL. Same goes for anyone with the last name of "Lormon." However, if a "Brooks Lormon" is ever found... he shall be allowed to play.

H. John Green is required by rule to wear shorts/pants that are *at least* within 2 inches of his knee.

I. No one may ridicule Allen for not spending $38 on draft day.
