First Spring Game

Baseball is finally here! The 2010 Spring Training schedule kicked off today with the Mets beating the Braves 4-2. Got to catch the first few innings on TV... Tommy Hanson year. Pretty good chance that happens. But, they also need Chipper Jones to have a solid year and that is going to be a challenge.
looked good. The Braves definitely need him to come through big time to have a chance this
But hey, baseball is here and I'm happy. This is Bobby Cox's last year and I'm hoping he goes out with a bang.

On the rotis front... Fernando Tatis has been resigned by the Mets and supposedly is battling for the 1B job. The Mets announcers confirmed what I figured though... the job is Daniel Murphy's to lose. Tatis never won a regular job last year though, and he still produced good numbers (340ab, .282ba, 8hr, 48rbi, 42r, 4sb). He did that while offering tons of roster flexibility. Definitely earned his $3 for me.

At this point, I plan to keep him... but he's someone I will be watching. Needs to stay healthy and clearly have at least a top bench job.

Here is a list of for sure keepers...
1B A Pujols 46d
3B J Cantu 21d
CI R Howard 40a
CI L Berkman 34d
OF M Kemp 36a
OF N Morgan 10a
SP J Cueto 15d

And these are the players I'm watching...
OF T Gywnn 10c
1/3/O F Tatis 3a
SP J Maine 15a
SP K Kawakami 10f
