Win & Save... out the window

Amazing. Tyler Clippard has his 8th win in the bag and Matt Capps has the save... if Christian Guzman can catch a fly ball in right-field. And then to quote the Nationals announcer... "Guzman, MISSED THE BALL!" This is the same announcer that had previously said, "Guzman moves from SS to RF... how many SS can do that?" Well, they ALL can do that... of course... but how many can ~catch a flyball~ once there might have been the better question. Roger Bernadina... who has had clutch hits in back to back games now... had made a circus catch early in the game too. Nice move, Jim Riggleman.

A couple of pitches after the error, Matt Capps gives up a 2 run HR to end the game.

Capps been a complete and total disaster since I got him. For my team, he's now pitched 4.1 innings and given up 12 hits... and he's 0-2 with 3 blown saves. He's been a nightmare... which is a good word to describe today's Nationals game.
